Firefighters in Brandon, Manitoba, fought a massive blaze Thursday morning in a four-story apartment building under construction.
Brandon firefighters arrived to heavy fire and smoke visible from the upper floors around 8:15 a.m.
"We were informed that there were construction crews starting their day, it was obviously early in the day, and we were able to ensure that everybody was out, and everybody was accounted for," Terry Parlow, the deputy fire chief for the Brandon Fire and Emergency Services told CTV News.
Fire officials said the structure is a total loss, saying all four floors collapsed onto themselves. No other structures were damaged by the fire.
